Cr*p. I forgot to publish my post before I went to bed last night, indulging in almost-8 hours of blissful sleep. I had it ready to go in my textedit on my computer, does that count?!
These slides show from the New York Times show some very interesting things about this years presidential campaign and election.
Slide #2 is especially interesting to see. It shows there are 22% of the nation’s counties voted more Republican this year than in 2004. Note the locations of these increase in red votes. I’ll just say it’s the heart of the south and leave it at that… Slide #4 was also notable, as the top 6 states to the upper left (ha ha, left) seems considerably more blue than red, but McCain won in those states.
I’m still giddy with the result of this election. I’m still pinching myself silly. As my 5yr old son says, FOR REAL!
