Let me just note that you have to have space for the cows and chickens. You have to feed them. You also have to collect the eggs, and milk the cows. This takes quite a bit of time. There is also a lot of chicken and cow poop to contend with. You will also have to manage to keep a cow producing milk which does mean getting a cow pregnant at some point...to start the process. You would also likely end up with more milk and more eggs than your family could consume on a daily basis, so you might want to start setting up shop in the farmer's markets. Sound like you'd have to devote some full time hours to this operation. Also your neighbors might call the cops if your rooster crows at the break of dawn, which would mean fines for you.
