Moved in 6 years ago today

November is so much more than just Thanksgiving. For us, the last 7 years’ November has been a bittersweet month with bittersweet events.

Seven years ago (1999), Hubby and I were married in front of a judge on November 22. This was the only good event. Feel free to skip the rest of this post as I proceed to moan and whine.

Six years ago today, we moved into our house (something big happened a week after, and we didn’t really make it a home until a year later). On our one-year anniversary day (2000), I was sitting at the hospital bright and early waiting for my biopsy surgery. Alone. Alone because we never ever in our wildest imagination thought that it would be cancerous, so I told Hubby to go into work after he dropped me off for the one-day surgery. On Black Friday the 24th (day after Thanksgiving), they told us the results and turned our world upside down. Coincidentally, this year’s Black Friday is the 24th.

I was then diagnosed with a chronic condition that has no cure 4 years ago on Nov 22 (the symptoms can be controlled by taking medication daily)

My grandfather died 2 years ago on Nov 22.

It seems like bad things happened every other year for the last 6 years. And this year is supposedly the ‘bad’ year. As November 22 is pulling up the curb, I’m very nervous and anxious to say the least. I nearly hurled just typing up this post.

I found this in my archive.

Please hope very very hard with me that nothing bad will happen this year. Thank you.
