Hang in there

Hey don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten to write the sequel to this earlier post. I’m just taking a little longer to think about how to write it and what to include etc. And I’ve been busy hanging out with my friend from out-of-town in the last few days.

I know I have a small audience, but I hope there are at least 2 people anticipating it! Thank you for your patience. :-)
**this does not count as a daily post for nablopomo, as I’ve already posted today, twice**

Hey bloggers

* Turn your comments ON! (if you want comments - I can’t imagine people who blog not wanting comments, but then again, there are all sorts of people in this world)

* It’s really hard to read if your background color is black. Or bright neon blue with white fonts. In another words, it would be really helpful if your site is read-friendly.

Fabulous hump day

Yesterday was such a beautiful day, in more than one way. This is why:

My good friend was visiting from out of town. I’ve known her since 7th grade. We’ve never had a fight, and she’s always been there for me. She helped me do my hair and makeup a couple of times during high school when I went to school dances (sneaked out of the house for those - my parents were super strict and conservative/traditional). She listened to me yap about my boy crushes and boyfriends without any judgement. She was there for me when I was going through treatments, and she was there to celebrate with us when our first child was born. We live quite far away from each other, but we’re always just a phone call away. My life is so much richer because of her friendship.

We shopped at IKEA. We had fabulous BBQ ribs for dinner.

The weather couldn’t have been nicer. It was sunny and warm, at a whopping 70+F (now it is back to high 30’sF). It was amazing and extremely unusual for November.

And the kids took great long naps. Long naps are always good, especially good when they woke up for the day at 5:30a.m.
