Hi Sweetisu!

I have been meaning to visit you for sometime because I see you comment on some of the same blogs I read. I think your friend is just clueless. She has not been in your situation so she cannot judge. I wonder if you have grown apart because she is still acting like a college student while you have “grown up?”

I’m a work from home mom with school age children but my opinion on SAHM’s is the same as Mary-Mia, you are lucky to have the choice, but I also understand that you sacrificed much to make that choice.

Don’t you have an engineering degree? I hope people don’t harass you about it “going to waste.” That’s so silly. It’s not like they’ll be little forever! Enjoy them while you can, the parent teacher conferences come much too soon.

I (tried) to say that anybody who leaves their (practically raised 10 year old) child with their mother every single weekend has no room to say you have it easy!

I think people get it all wrong when they say people have it easy if they can stay home with the kids. What they should say, and what I believe, is that SAHMs are lucky — lucky to have a choice. It’s definitely not easy, and most SAHMs make the choice to give up A LOT in return. But it is really, really nice to be able to choose.
