The one we have and most of the ones I saw, needs to have the transmitter (the one that stays with the baby in the room) plugged into an outlet. The receiver (the one parents/babysitter carry around is battery operated and can be recharged. Hmm. I will ask next time I go to the store. Thanks! They do?????
