Attn: Baby Monitor Makers

If you made a baby monitor that does not need to be plugged into an outlet, and it’s reasonably priced (less than $100), I would be all over it. (Or is there such a product out there already and I just live in the dark ages?)

You see, this is the problem:

It’s a gorgeous day out. The BB (baby boy*) fell asleep in the car on the way home, while BG (baby girl) did not and still need to be fed and diaper changed and eventually go for a nap. Mama still haven’t had lunch yet.

What should I do! I used to be able to transfer BB back into the house and into bed without waking him up. Every single time. Now it’s impossible. He will only let me do it when I’m transferring him into the stroller (and remain asleep). Only if I had a baby monitor to put into the car! Then I can leave the windows open while the car is in the garage. Have a girls’ lunch and get BG down for a nap. That would be perfect.

However much I wish, Mama can’t be at two places at the same time.

So BMMs, would I get an Inventors fee of some sort if you end up selling millions of these?

* BB (Baby Boy) is 2 years and 9 months old already. Not so much a baby anymore. But, he will still be my BB when he’s 65 years old.

Reruns Anyone?

This totally sucks. The only two non-kid TV shows I watch are not on tonight. Again. I wait all week long for my only tube time on Sunday evenings, and nearly each Sunday I feel disappointed. There's plenty of reruns, plenty of other events or shows running into the Time Slots. What is up with that! Is a new episode too much to ask?! How about just a new show every other week even?? If this keeps up long enough, I'll have to rethink of my Sunday evening devotions and maybe pick up an actual hobby.

The End of S.A.D.

Signs that Spring is finally (nearly? hopefully????!!!!) here:

* All the snow has melted away.

* Your neighbor prepping their lawn mower in the driveway.

* The lawn showing the slightest tinge of greeen.

* You hear birds singing.

* Dogs running about outside.

* People wearing sandals at the mall when it's still 40 something F outside.

* Pastel and bright colored outfits Every. Where. in. Every. Store.

Sleepless Central

FYI - it's hellish here. No one is getting any sleep. Sleep that is less than 3 hours in a stretch is NOT considered sleep.

Here's moxie's take on our oldest child's sleep issue (the younger one also took a deep dive into Sleeplessness after everyone got sick for 5 weeks - but we only have enough energy to deal with one at a time).

What's your take on it?

What works to get your child/ren to sleep / nap?
