Advice Needed. Desperately!
To any of you who did sleep training with your child/ren… please HELP. She’s 4 months and 1 week old now.
(Amie… Kristin… Karen… and anyone else w/ one or more children… or stories you’ve heard from others time and again… anything!)
How early did you do it?
What method did you use / details of the method / any modifications you adapted to suit your family needs?
If you could do it differently now, what would it be? You know, if you knew what you know now.
I need to get some uninterrupted sleep again. Hopefully before both of them are off to college… It’s been far too long (almost 3 yrs… as the older kid is the worst sleeper in history) and I am T.I.R.E.D.
Thanks so much. Will monkey-hug you if you could share some wisdom in this area!!!

I can’t offer any advice, but I can sympathize.
My wife and are going through the same thing. We have a four-year old, a 13-month old, and a two-week old. Our four-year has been great through BOTH transitions. However, the 13-month old has not welcomed the new addition to the house. She no longer sleeps through the night. Even when I try to let my wife sleep through the night, it becomes impossible as the “middle-child” awakens during one of our son’s mid-night feedings. We have him in a different room, so I know she can’t hear anything, but, even during the day, she has been a different kid. She’s much more fussy than ever before and has become VERY attached to me. It’s almost as if she is mad because her “mommy” went to the hospital. I don’t know what it is, but we’re going to hang in there. Just as you should. Before you know it, you’ll be sleeping through the night, again.

I’m sorry, you probably don’t want to hear from me since none of my babies slept thru the night until they were weaned (ranging from 11.5 - 15 months). As a co-sleeper, I never found the night wakings to disturb my rest too much so I never tried anything to stop them.
I recently heard good stuff about the “No Cry Sleep Solution” from somebody I trust and admire.
Good luck!!

I know what you mean. My almost 4 month old (Feb 3rd turns 4 months) has yet to go more than a few hours of sleep during the night. My spouse and I both work 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm and it is ROUGH! I wished I knew what to do because I would use it myself and then let you know…lol.–>
