Nothing Really Interesting Except For My Belly

I apologize for not being very interesting lately, and for not visiting / commenting on your blogs as often as I’d like. It’s just that things aren’t really interesting right now, except for a lot of busy projects in and around the house (nesting?) which you probably don’t care to read or know the details. It’s just boring stuff, really.

Internal kungfu tournament continues with increasing force and frequency. She might just well qualify for a black belt right after birth. I’m feeling a lot more kicks this time around. It might have something to do with the fact that with our son, the placenta was anterior, right smack in the middle of the belly. But I don’t really know for sure, as you can still feel a lot even with anterior placenta, I’ve been told.

My belly is HUGE, and I still have 11 more weeks until the due date. I’m dreading possible stretch marks (in addition to the dark vertical line thing I already have).

I’ve decided to take the plunge and finally took some belly pictures at 29 weeks (this past weekend). Here’s a few naked visuals for your viewing pleasure. And for added fun, I’m also including a couple from my first pregnancy from around the same gestational time frame (clothed bellies).

First pregnancy. 28w2d. I used to have somewhat of a butt.

Current pregnancy. 28w6d.

If you feel so inclined to rub my belly, DON’T.

You’re one of those adorable pregnant women, aren’t you? I was all lumpy and awkward looking.

    Have fun nesting!

That straight-on belly shot cracks me up for some reason. It’s like it’s glaring at me.

You look awesome, and congrats on entering the third trimester.

I am so jealous of your stretch mark free belly. BTW, if you didn’t get them the first time around, odds are very good you won’t get them this time.

That’s a glorious belly! Like Jen P said, it sure is round and perfect and quite unlike what was my own loppy belly. But now that my belly’s gone and baby’s here, I do miss my belly and feeling her move around in there. But it’s all worth it…as you know firsthand.

You really do look great–enjoy the remaining weeks! I’m sure you’ll continue looking just as good as the time nears :-)
