Digging Your Own Hole
Thanks to all who gave their input on the previous post! Choosing a name is a very personal decision and I value your personal opinion on that. Hopefully hubby and I will come to an agreement and we will let you know as soon as we decide. And hopefully before the birth of our baby girl.
Other things . . . It’s only the 5th day of the month, and I’ve already spent a fortune. We (I mean *I*) wanted to upgrade to a king size bed. And the toddler boy also needs a more comfortable bed. So we now (will) have 2 new beds, new king size bed frame, bed sheets, comforters, pillows, etc. etc.
Somehow since I’m not the one earning the money now, I don’t feel as much need to save. It’s as if I’ve forgotten how hard it is to earn every red cent. Is there such a phenomena among others as well? There must be, because I just splurged on a pair of diamond chandelier earrings, too! Although this is the first time I’ve gotten any jewelry since our wedding almost 5 years ago, considering my frugal nature, this is still a huge deal. But my, those earrings are so pretty!!!
Oh, we’re not done with the credit card yet. Hubby’s birthday is in another week or so (men are so hard to shop for!) And there’s Father’s Day coming up quickly. Then there’s the baby girl stuff such as another drawer set / dresser and a double stroller, and oh don’t forget the cute girl outfits that we need (should) get very soon, since we only have all-boy outfits right now. While we’re at it, why don’t we make a new deck for the house this summer! And you know what that means — deck furniture, mosquito repellant torch thingies, a grill . . .
Yea. That should put us in a nice and big hole for a long while.
