So Far, So Good
The subchorionic hematoma seems to be “dissolving” slowly, but surely. Hence the reason why I’m still having brown blood and spotting daily (this morning, a few hours before the appointment, I had a small gush of bright red blood again).
As said in an earlier post and reconfirmed by the nurse practitioner, I will continue to bleed a few more weeks minimum. Unless I have cramps accompanying with bright red bleeding, I should not be alarmed and I won’t get another ultrasound til halfway point. I hope I’ll be able to keep my sanity til then.
Today, the baby measured 7w2d from one angle, and 8w2d from a different angle. If all goes well, the expected due date is Labor Day. September 5, 2005. I’m relieved. At least for now.
Thank you so very much for all of your supportive comments and words of kindness. It means a lot to me to have you all to lean on in bad times, and to share laughs in good times.

So glad to hear that things are going well. I’m hoping the bleeding stops soon and you never see another red spot again!
Best wishes

I’m so glad you had good news. I know you will keep worrying for as long as you keep spotting but we will be right here to support you through it.

That’s wonderful news! It must be scary to keep seeing blood though. I hope the hematoma goes away as quickly as possible.

Hi there,
I also have a sub hematoma and am currently 16 weeks pregnant. I was on bedrest for 4 weeks and at my last ultrasound they said not too much has changed by the baby looks okay. It is a very nerve wracking thing to go through. I have been really stressed out and scared so I can imagine how you have been as well. My Dr. told me I could go back to work but I am still very nervous about that. Of course, it is much nicer staying home in bed where not too much damage can be done.
Did your Dr. tell you whether or not you can go about life normally? The only thing they told me was to refrain from sex and no heavy lifting…
I wish you all the best and if you need someone to chat with …my e-mail is: Heather.Watkins@adelphia.net
